Two tennis courts have been reopened following refurbishment.

Worthing Borough Council and Adur District Council have announced the courts at Buckingham Park in Shoreham and Church House Grounds in Worthing are now ready for players.

They were closed for surface painting on July 10 as part of a complete refurbishment and are opening later than planned due to delays caused by bad weather.

A councils spokesman said: “Whether you’re an experienced tennis player or someone that’s looking to play for the first time, we hope you enjoy using the new courts.

“The facilities can be booked online and we will be working with local clubs, coaches and the LTA to deliver a mix of free and low-cost tennis sessions designed to encourage new players to the game.”
