Albion have hinted at progress in finding a site for a women’s stadium.
The news comes ahead of a WSL season which sees them kick-off, like the men, against Everton.
Home games will again be played at the Broadfield Stadium although there will be action at the Amex.
The longer-term aim is to have a purpose-built home in or around Brighton and Hove.
Michelle Walder, club director and chair of the women’s set-up, said: “The stadium is ongoing, it’s a work in progress. We do hope to have some news soon.
“We are working on it actively and we are exploring a couple of options actively so fingers crossed.”
Walder said Albion reman keen to develop their youth set-up.
She said: “I think what we have got now is a really steady team in place that we are really pleased with.
“I think we now need to embed through the academy.
“I think that is a key priority across the women’s and girls programmes.
“The first team is the showcase team and where we are focussing the ambition but I think we are also looking to develop that talent coming through, both for us and also for the wider development of the game.”
Albion will host Everton on the weekend of September 21 and 22 when WSL action resumes.
The first away game is a tough one as former Melbourne City boss Dario Vidosic takes his side to Manchester City.
There is a renewal of fixtures against Crystal Palace, who were promoted last season and host the Seagulls in October.
Fixtures are subject to change and weekends, rather than specific days, have been listed in the initial release.
