The signings might not be over for Albion’s women.

But they are delighted with business they have done so far.

Fran Kirby headlines a list of eight summer additions which also includes Japan international Kiko Seike and recently arrived striker Aisha Masaka.

Zoe Johnson, Albion’s managing director of women’s and girls’ football, told The Argus: “We are always looking. We are really excited about the talent we have brought in.

“We have been really organised in our recruitment.

“It is something we have been really working on for far longer than when the transfer window opened.

“We hope there will be some more additions to come.

“We are always looking to improve our squad.

“We know we need to improve our performances on the pitch and therefore we need to recruit some top talent to be able to do that.

“But, if we were start the season tomorrow, we would be happy with the business we have already done.”

Katie Robinson and Elisabeth Terland have turned down new contracts to join Aston Villa and Manchester United respectively.

Dejana Stefanovic and Julia Zigiotti were also offered new deals this summer and Johnson expects to have news on them in the next fortnight.

Zigiotti’s off-field partner Emma Kullberg was released at the end of last season along with Veatriki Sarri, Tatiana Pinto - who has since joined Atletico Madrid - and youngster Lulu Jarvis.
