Vicente believes Phil Foden can be a big threat to Spain – if England use him correctly.

But the former Albion and Valencia star sees his country winning Euro 2024.

Foden will be part of the England side who look to take the glory in Berlin tonight (8pm).

Vicente, capped 38 times by Spain, says La Roja go into the final as the tournament’s best team.

He told The Argus: “I think Spain will win. They are very strong and playing really good football.

“I like the way they are playing. They are a happy team, they are attacking.

“I didn’t like England at all to start with. They played very little football.

“Foden can’t play on the left wing.

“I liked them more in the semi-finals.

“They gave more freedom to Foden – and Cole Palmer has got to play.”

England are expected to name the same XI as faced Holland in the semis but with potential for players such as Palmer, Ollie Watkins and Luke Shaw to play their part coming off the bench.

Boss Gareth Southgate said of Spain: “They would be rightly favourites for what they have done this tournament. They have been the best team.

“They have got a day longer and in the last three finals, maybe more, it has been quite significant, so we have got to get our recovery spot on.”
