Ibrahim Osman says signing for Albion fired him up for a big finish to the season.

The young Ghana international forward is on board with the Seagulls after signing a five-year deal.

His impending arrival was announced in February and he then went on a run of five goals and three assists in ten games for Nordsjaelland in all competitions.

The 19-year-old completed his move when the summer transfer window opened and has started training with his new-team mates under the supervision of Fabian Huerzeler and staff.

Osman believes the prospect of heading to the Premier League was a great motivation in recent months.

He told The Argus: “It really gave me a push. I needed to do even more every week, in every game, which I think I did.

"When they (Albion) signed me, if we were not playing, every weekend I was watching their game.”

Osman has found his early training sessions at Lancing an enjoyable challenge.

He said: “Without the ball you have to use your head, everything requires full focus.

“This first week has been tough. The intensity with everything has been tough.”

Osman progressed from the Right to Dream Academy which produced Albion winger Simon Adingra, who also moved initially to Nordsjaelland.

The two players have in contact and Adingra has advised there is not a huge difference in style of play between the Danish club and Albion.

Osman said: “There were a lot of teams who wanted me, but when Brighton came, I was like, ‘Yes, this is the type of team I want to play in’. The style of play, they also play younger players.”
