Whitehawk have confirmed Zaki Oualah as their new goalkeeper as part of what they hope is a successful summer rebuild.
The 29-year-old played once for AFC Wimbledon in 2021 before winning promotion last season to Vanarama National League south with Chesham United.
He has played in recent friendlies at home to Hassocks and Peacehaven.
New boss Ross McNeilly rates Oualah among the best in the league.
McNeilly said: “The hopes are that it is going to be a positive season.
”You see we have got players like Charlie Walker and Chris Whelpdale and Harry Shooman and Charlie Lambert and Imran Kayani and Zaki Oualah, who are some of the best players in the league.
“If we are not being successful, I am not doing something right.”
Hawks have also signed Etienne Frimpong and Jerry O’Sullivan after successful trial spells.
Whelpdale and a trialist scored in the 2-0 win over Peacehaven.
