James Beadle has been backed for a high-flying career.
The on-loan Albion goalkeeper has been told he has already progressed with Sheffield Wednesday.
Beadle is back with the Owls for the coming campaign having helped them retain their Championship status in the second half of last season.
Wednesday boss Danny Rohl believes Beadle’s form, which included eight clean sheets, was key to that.
Rohl said: "I think when we looked at the details from the second leg of the season, we had nine clean sheets and that's crucial when you want to win games especially in this league.
"It was also a huge step forward in his path.
"He's a young goalkeeper but with a lot of different experience now and also a great attitude.
“He's very calm in difficult moments. I'm convinced that we will see him in the future high up in football.”
Beadle’s loan commitment was switched to Wednesday from Oxford United, where he also impressed, midway through last season.
It is understood Albion have the option of moving him away from Wednesday in January should they see fit but that the intention at this stage is for that not to happen.
