Crawley have signed two Grimsby Town players ahead of their return to League One.

They have bought defender Toby Mullarkey for an undisclosed fee and also snapped up experienced midfielder Gavan Holohan as a free agent.

Both have agreed two-year deals.

Mullarkey, 28, is a right-sided centre-back who can also play at right-back or in a defensive midfield role.

He played academy football at Everton and Crewe and was a regular for Grimsby last season.

Holohan, 32, made more than 100 appearances for both Hartlepool and Grimsby having progressed through the Hull City academy.
