Pascal Gross has hailed an Albion 'signing' as one of the best he has seen in football.

The Seagulls are bringing in top football doctor Florian Pfab from Eintracht Frankfurt as they look to ease their injury problems.

Gross knows Dr Pfab well after time working together with Ingolstadt before he headed to the Premier League in 2017.

He was also referenced by new head coach Fabian Huerzeler during his press conference yesterday.

Asked towards the end of last season about Dr Pfab, Gross told The Argus: “He is an unbelievable person, an unbelievable doctor.

“I have known him for 12 years and for me he will improve the club a lot.

“As a human being and quality of doctor he is, for m, one of the best I have ever seen in football.”

Huerzeler spoke about the off-field team at his press conference yesterday.

He said: “It is so important to have a mixture between courage and humility.

“Of course, deep inside I have a conviction that, together with my team, we can do this.

“It is not a one-man show. We can achieve something big together as a team.

“I have big experts in my team. We have Florian Pfab as the doctor, Gary Walker as head of performance.

“We have Crofty (Andrew Crofts) already here and Jack (Sten) as the goalkeeping coach who is developing in an amazing way.

“There is a togetherness. I am completely convinced we as a team can do it, yes.”
