England bowler Ollie Robinson conceded 43 runs in one over at Hove today.
Robinson was on the receiving end from Leicestershire’s Louis Kimber as the visitors chased an unlikely win at the 1st Central County Ground.
Kimber hit two sixes and six fours, as well as a single to complete the over, as he went from 72 to 109.
There were three no-balls in the over.
The haul is a first-class record in this country but not a world record.
Leicestershire were chasing a victory target of 464 and Sussex were banging the ball in short with fielders out deep on the leg-side.
Kimber accepted the invitation in stunning style.
Robinson’s figures read 1-22 from 12 overs before the onslaught.
He returned to bowl one more over, which went for just an edged single.
