Bart Verbruggen and Jakub Moder were involved in a dramatic final evening of Group D fixtures.
Albion goalkeeper Verbruggen saw two efforts go in off his team-mates as Holland went down 3-2 to Austria.
Seagulls midfielder Moder made his first start of the tournament as Poland drew 1-1 with France.
The results secured top spot for Austria with France second and the Netherlands third.
Poland already knew they were heading out.
Donyell Malen turned a low cross into his own net to catch out Verbruggen and put Austria ahead.
The keeper later made a fine save low down from Marcel Sabitzer and, in the melee which followed, did enough to swat the ball away from Marko Arnautovic.
Cody Gakpo levelled straight after the break but Austria restored their lead when Romano Schmid’s header went in off a defender.
Memphis Depay made it 2-2 with a super finish as he took down a lay-off and guided home a shot.
But the Dutch got things horribly wrong at the back as Sabitzer went through to blast high past Verbruggen from a tight angle for what proved to be the winner.
Moder played the full game as Poland came from behind in a game of two first-half penalties, which were converted by Kylian Mbappe and Robert Lewandowski.
The Albion man can now rest ahead of pre-season with his club.
