Albion want Pascal Gross to stay at the Amex – amid increasing reports Borussia Dortmund are looking to sign him.
The Champions League finalists want to take the midfielder back to his homeland.
Sky Sports in Germany reported Dortmund were expected to be able to reach an agreement with Gross over personal terms.
However there was no suggestion of any offer having yet gone in to the Seagulls for his services.
The Argus can confirm Albion have received no contact from Dortmund – or any others clubs - regarding a move for Gross.
Albion’s position remains that they would like him to remain on board.
They would also make it clear to suitors he would not come cheaply even if their position were to change.
The former Ingolstadt man is under contract until next summer but it is understood Albion would like to extend that commitment.
Gross was an unused sub as Germany drew 1-1 with Switzerland tonight.
