Jakub Moder and Poland have suffered an early Euro 2024 exit.

The Albion midfielder again went on as substitute for his country, this time as they lost 3-1 to Austria in Berlin.

The subsequent 0-0 draw between Holland and France means Poland cannot progress to the last 16.

Moder initially made a positive impression but was booked for an awkward foul on Christoph Baumgartner.

It was Baumgartner who then guided home a well-taken goal to put Austria 2-1 up as Moder arrived just too late to block his shot.

Marko Arnautovic went on to convert a penalty.

Moder also went on at the break in Poland’s 2-1 defeat by Holland in their opening game.

They complete their fixtures when they play France in Dortmund on Thursday.
