Deniz Undav has spoken to Albion’s new boss about his future.

But the Germany striker says he is keen to concentrate on Euro 2024 for now.

Undav starred on loan for Stuttgart last season and local fans cheered his name when he returned with the national team this week and went on as a late substitute.

He has told German sources he would be happy to return to Stuttgart next season but Albion could bring him back after his 18-goal goal Bundesliga campaign.

Roberto De Zerbi made it clear he wanted Undav in his squad for 2024-25 but he has now been succeeded in charge by Fabian Huerzeler.

In a largely upbeat and jokey press conference today, Undav told German and Swiss media: “I have had contact with Fabian.

“We have already had a phone call and he talked about it.

“I explained my vision to him and he told me what he thought about me.

“Of course I talk with my adviser here and there.

“It is clear that things don’t stay calm in the market but go up and down.

“I don’t want to hear too much from outside but I want to concentrate on the European Championships.”

Undav said he has already made his feelings clear about Stuttgart.

He enjoyed the warm welcome he received during his brief run-out against Hungary.

Undav said: “It's an amazing feeling when the fans sing your name.

“I've tried my best all year to get them to sing my name.

“That's why I feel so comfortable in Stuttgart. I like the club, I like the fans, I like the people around me."
