A group of Albion’s Premier League and WSL stars have taken their first steps towards coaching after completing their UEFA B licence.

Pascal Gross, Jason Steele and recently departing midfielder Adam Lallana are among the players to have completed the qualification.

They were presented their certificates alongside Veatriki Sarri and Dejana Stefanovic having completed their coaching with Albion’s academy and the Brighton and Hove Albion Foundation.

Lallana had previously helped coach Albion in the interim after being appointed assistant manager. He helped lead the club between Graham Potter’s departure and Roberto De Zerbi’s appointment in 2022.

Lallana, who has since left the club, Steele and Gross are all now working towards their A licence.

Brighton and Hove Albion Foundation coach Nathan Cassleton, former academy players Matthew Everitt and Tony Bull and under-21s analyst Sam Hall all also received their qualifications.

Harry Mills, part of Albion’s under-18s squad, and Charlie Tasker also passed the course putting them among the youngest coaches to complete the course.

Each coach took between 12 and 16 weeks to complete the course, which included delivering coaching to academy players or at community sessions.

The course takes a total of 120 hours to complete and includes 16 practical coaching sessions.
