Despite "considerable speculation", Kieran McKenna will not be Albion's next manager.
The Ipswich boss officially penned a four-year deal which keeps him at the newly promoted club until 2028.
Brighton will now continue to look elsewhere for a replacement for Roberto De Zerbi as his predecessor Graham Potter remains in the conversation for fans.
Announcing the news, McKenna said he was "extremely proud" to extend his time as he leads Ipswich in their first top flight season in a generation.
Ipswich chief executive Mark Ashton said "success brings its own challenges" and that despite the speculation the contract offered a "considerable boost".
The Telegraph reported earlier today that Garcia Pimienta had been subject to enquiries, but he has since agreed terms with Sevilla.
