Albion will play Queens Park Rangers in their first pre-season friendly of 2024 in the UK.

Brighton will travel to Loftus Road to face the Championship side off the heels of a two-game tour to Japan.

It will be the first time the clubs have faced each other at Loftus Road since 2017 when Albion took a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Glenn Murray and Sebastien Pocognoli.

QPR finished six points above the relegation zone in the Championship last season after sacking Gareth Ainsworth at the beginning of the season and replacing him with Marti Cifuentes.

The friendly at the beginning of August will be the third for the club as they are due to play two matches in Tokyo on their pre-season tour of Japan.

Albion will play Kashima Antlers on July 24 and Tokyo Verdy on July 28 at the 68,000-seater National Stadium.

Albion’s last trip to Loftus Road fired them back to the top of the Championship table and came just weeks before they were promoted to the Premier League for the first time.

Brighton will play QPR at Loftus Road on Saturday, August 3 at 3pm. The club will release ticket information in the near future.
