Worthing are one game from the National League after high drama in the play-offs.
Ollie Pearce scored two minutes from time to secure a 2-1 win at home to Maidstone in the Vanarama National League semi-final.
Maidstone had hit the bar from close range a minute earlier.
Pearce opened the scoring for Rebels from a penalty before Matt Bentley replied before a record crowd of 2,858.
Both teams had chances in the second half and Matt Rush should have done better than fire against the Worthing bar with time running out.
Then Joe Felix sent Pearce away to the right of goal.
He still had a lot to do but he cut inside between two defenders and then sent a low finish between Lucas Covolan and his near post.
Worthing will host Braintree on Bank Holiday Monday before what is sure to be another packed house.
