Crawley came from behind for a home point in their push for the League Two play-offs.
Danilo Orsi moved to 20 goals for the season with his penalty just after the hour in the 1-1 draw with Barrow.
The visitors had gone in front with classic downward header by Emile Acquah on 36 minutes.
Orsi replied after a handball by Rory Feely amid a hectic goalmouth incident.
Klaidi Lolos might have won it for Reds in injury time as he headed wide.
But home keeper Corey Addai had to make a superb double save in the second period.
The result keeps Crawley in seventh place with two games to go.
But they now lead Walsall only on goal difference while Doncaster can overhaul them when they play their match in hand.
