Roberto De Zerbi had no complaints about the penalty decision which caused outrage at the Amex.
Albion fans were incensed when Tariq Lamptey was ruled to have fouled Gabriel Jesus just inside the penalty area for the opening goal in Arsenal's 3-0 win.
Replays showed Lamptey touched the ball with his left foot and there was then contact between the players.
Referee John Brooks immediately pointed to the spot and the decision was upheld by video assistant Robert Jones.
Home fans were furious about the decision but Albion boss De Zerbi said: “The penalty was clear and we move on trying to work better to improve our young players, to recover our eight injured players, and we try to compete to reach a European position for another season.”
When it was pointed out Lamptey appeared to get the ball, De Zerbi added: “I don’t know. I thought it was clear but I don’t want to speak about the decision of the referee.
“We lost not for the referee’s responsibility.”
