Jeremy Sarmiento scored a last-gasp winner – and spared himself a telling off about his footwear.

The forward on loan from Albion to Ipswich Town poked home a shot in the final seconds of a 3-2 win over Southampton.

His goal kept the Tractor Boys on top of the Championship.

Sarmiento slipped as he received the ball in the area and swung into a left-foot shot.

But he then guided the ball home with his right to spark delirium around Portman Road.

Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna: "He had a few slips when he came on, so he'd probably have been getting criticised about his footwear if he hadn't have toe poked that in! He reacted really, really well.”
