Pascal Gross has urged Albion to take the best parts of their Anfield display into the last nine games of the season.
The Seagulls went down 2-1 to Premier League title chasers Liverpool.
Gross had an intriguing midfield battle with his former colleague Alexis Mac Allister.
The Germany international said: “We had some moments, we played some good football.
“But Liverpool is always a tough place to play.
“Maybe in some decisive moments they showed a little bit more killer instinct, quality.
“Margins decided the game.”
He added: “We played good football, the result obviously not our way.
“If we keep performing like that, especially at home, I think we can win a lot of games.”
