Albion will come across referee David Coote for the first time since the opening day of the season.
The Nottinghamshire-based official will have the whistle when the Seagulls play Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
His VAR will be Paul Tierney, which appears to have caused some reaction on Mersyside.
Coote last refereed Albion when they opened the current season with a 4-1 win over Luton.
He has reffed 18 games this season, showing 87 yellow cards and three reds, of which two came in the Brentford v Aston Villa match.
Coote was in charge of the FA Cup tie between Albion and Liverpool last season, which the former won 2-1 with a late Kaoru Mitoma goal.
Liverpool fans have been quick to air past grievances over both Coote and Tierney.
Coote was the VAR who failed to recommend an on-field review for a potential handball by Martin Odegaard when Reds drew with Arsenal this season.
And Jurgen Klopp has a history with Tierney, who once told him after a game: “I have no problems with referees, only you.”
The full officiating team for Liverpool v Albion is as follow.
Referee: David Coote.
Assistants: Tim Wood, Mark Scholes.
Fourth Official: Craig Pawson.
VAR: Paul Tierney.
AVAR: Dan Cook.
