Paul Barber believes Albion have made a great impression on and off the pitch in their Europa League campaign.
The club’s deputy chairman and chief executive sent a message to staff soon after the Seagulls were eliminated in the last 16.
He thanked them all for their efforts in the Euro campaign.
A 1-0 win at home to Roma on a highly-charged night at the Amex was not enough to repair damage from the first leg.
Barber told staff: “We have played some of Europe’s biggest clubs, visited some fantastic cities, made memories of a lifetime for our fans, and gained friends across the continent for our brave and attacking football.
“It’s fair to say that, although we would all have liked to go further, we have made a positive impression everywhere.
“We’ve also deservedly received a lot of credit for the behaviour of our fans - home and away - and also for the style and efficiency of our match day operations here at the Amex. Great credit here is due to staff in all departments for their hard work and professionalism for all of our games in the UEFA Europa League.”
