Daniele De Rossi says Albion are capable of scoring goals.

But he believes his side can put the tie out of their reach at the Amex.

Roma have a 4-0 advantage from the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie.

De Rossi confirmed both first-half goalscorers from the Stadio Olimpico could be absent from his initial XI this evening.

Romelu Lukaku is not with the group in England due to a hip injury while Paulo Dybala, who travelled, is doubtful.

Albion should probably have scored at least once in Rome although their only goal in the last four games came from an opponent.

Speaking at the Amex, De Rossi said: “In every match there is the risk of conceding more goals than you imagined.

“Brighton didn't expect to lose 4-0.

“In the first leg we had an exceptional first half where we deserved to take the lead and after a few minutes they hit a post.

“A goal after six minutes can change the game.

“We have to be aware that in the first leg Brighton had four or five scoring chances, as did we.

“They are two teams that score.

“If we were to score one or two goals, which is the average we have, conceding six would be a lot for Brighton.

“The numbers tell us that we score a couple of goals per game and this could close the matter.”

Danny Welbeck, Facundo Buonanotte, Julio Enciso and Tariq Lamptey are mong the plaers who could cme back ino the albion XI.

De Rosi said: “I expect Roberto to surprise us as he always has from the point of view of his choices.

“If we look at the results from some time ago, we must honestly say that they lost some important players, but the team that I have seen they are a competitive team, they can score goals.”
