Carlos Baleba has been told he is on the right path – after a performance which put him in dancing mood.
The former Lille midfielder celebrated in style in front of the North Stand after his role in the 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
He helped the Seagulls to a rare winning clean sheet in the Premier League with as they bounced back from three away defeats.
Roberto De Zerbi has said Baleba is not ready for the Prem but was pleased with his efforts on Sunday and in the recent setback at Fulham.
The head coach said: “I think in the last two games he played well. He is improving, he is in progress.
“He is very young and for him it is the first real experience in Europe. At Lille he played not many games.
“He is the heritage of Brighton. He has to improve again but his potential is clear.
“I think in terms of potential he can become one of the best midfielders in the Premier League in the future.”
Baleba completed only his second 90 minutes for Albion on Sunday although he was only withdrawn very late in the win over Brentford, in which he also impressed.
Billy Gilmour is now free of suspension as De Zerbi looks at his options to face Roma on Thursday.
