Albion are poised to show an increase in profits when they declare financial results for last season.
Paul Barber told fans to expect a “significant improvement” when numbers for the 2022-23 campaign are revealed soon.
But the club will continue to keep a close eye on costs as they push for progress on the pitch without depending so heavily on funds from chairman Tony Bloom.
Albion made a £24 million gain in 2021-22, having posted total losses in excess of £110 million across the two previous seasons.
Their next set of figures will include transfer fees received for Yves Bissouma and Marc Cucurella plus compensation of about £20 million for Graham Potter and his coaching staff.
In his programme notes for Albion’s game against Nottingham Forest, chief executive and deputy chairman Barber said: “We will be showing a significant improvement in our profits, thanks to the club’s continued progress on and off the pitch.
“Our club’s vision – to be a top ten Premier League club and a top four Women’s Super League club – remains our guiding principle, alongside ensuring that our club becomes more sustainable and less reliant on Tony Bloom’s generous financial support.
“A couple of years of profitability, while very welcome, does not go very far in the process of repaying Tony’s loans to the club, so all of us here will be continuing to work very hard to maintain our on-pitch performance, to drive revenues and manage costs.”
Albion have reported more than 95% of season ticket holders have already renewed for 2024-25, which is a club record.
