Albion produced the right response to their big defeat at AS Roma.
But they were fortunate not to be left with ten men for the final quarter of their 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
That was the verdict of Match Of The Day pundit Danny Murphy.
The former Liverpool midfielder felt Jakub Moder should have been sent off for his foul on Neco Williams.
Murphy said: “I don’t think he has intentionally done him but he has jumped and he is out of control so therefore it’s a red.
“I don’t think he wants to hurt him but there is some naughtiness in it to a degree.
“He has left the ground and he catches the bottom of his ankle.
“It was the 67th minute. That changes the momentum of the game.”
Shay Given agreed Moder should have gone.
Murphy saw it as a good win for the Seagulls.
He added: “They have been on a poor run of form for a while in terms of results.
“The midweek defeat was a shock to themselves and everyone else.
“There seemed to be relief from everyone that they managed to produce a performance and not let it get them down and feel sorry for themselves.”
