Roberto De Zerbi says he will walk out as Albion boss with pride at the Stadio Olimpico.
The head coach is preparing for the Seagulls’ last-16 first leg versus AS Roma in the Italian capital.
Media focus was all on the former Sassuolo boss as he faced questions at the Olimpico this evening.
Albion then trained on the pitch where their European adventure will pass another new frontier tomorrow.
De Zerbi said: “I am very proud to be back here with my team.
“I usually fall in love with my teams and my players.
“It happened in Foggia, Benevento, Sassuolo, even Shakhtar, where I only spent six months but I was touched by that team and the environment.
“But this is team I really love, a team who can lose 3-0, can be thrashed and overwhelmed but you have to look at the level of this team and they always bounce back with pride and hunger.”
