Daniele De Rossi has warned Albion things will get hot at the Stadio Olimpico.

But he expects his Roma side to be given a tough test by the Seagulls in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie.

De Rossi believes the atmosphere created by a full house in Rome is a cut above what can be found in the Prem.

The head coach said: “It's up to us to make them happy.'

"I think that for any footballer it is very nice to play here.

“They are also used to playing in full stadiums in the Premier League, but I think that here the heat will be a little higher than they are used to."

De Rossi described Albion as an emerging club.

He said: “Graham Potter did a very good job and Roberto (De Zerbi) has built on that, giving an even more recognisable brand to this team.

"I think that Roma are a great team that must respect Brighton and how they play, but we are Roma.

“I think it will be a great match. The first thing we need to know is that Brighton can make Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal play in their own half.

"But they can also be beaten. They were badly beaten by Aston Villa, Luton, Fulham.

“There will be various games within the match.”

Debate has continued as to whether Roma will play with a back three or four and De Rossi gave nothing away.

Midfield duo Bryan Cristante and Leandro Paredes are both one yellow card away from a suspension.

The front three is likely to be formed by Romelu Lukaku, Paulo Dybala and Stephan El-Shaarawy.
