Haywards Heath knocked Pulborough off their perch in a closely fought top of the table clash.
Tries from Jack Lucas and Toby Vander were enough to secure a narrow one score win against the league leaders to leapfrog them to top of the table by a single score.
Heath fought from level at the break to take the lead at 14-7 and hold on for the win.
Despite questions on if the game would go ahead due to the rain, the match kicked off and Haywards Heath were on the back foot in the early skirmishes.
An early penalty kick for goal from the visitors slid wide but Pulborough kept pushing against the Heath defence.
Heath looked dangerous on their first venture in opposition territory but ill-discipline and a penalty for dissent pushed the hosts back up the field.
A break from fly half Christian Streater pushed Heath up the field and multiple phases of play from both backs and forwards stretched the Pulborough defence across the width of the pitch.

After a clearance kick from Pulborough gave Heath a lineout on the 10-metre line the hosts played the ball off and scrum half Jamie Thurston and lock Dan Shotton combined to take the ball within touching distance of the try line.
Centre Jack Lucas weaved his way up and over the line to score under the points for a 7-0 lead.
Heath could have gone further ahead but a lack of accuracy at the breakdown allowed too many turnovers and prevented the home side from getting any real momentum going.
With nearly half an hour gone Pulborough were back in the game and quick thinking saw them capitalise on Heath’s blitzing defence to chip the ball into open space behind. The visitor’s fly half won the footrace to dot down beyond the whitewash and equal the score before half time.
Haywards Heath ramped up the pressure and a long touch finding kick from a penalty won good territory.
Persistent pick and go play from the forwards pinned the visitors back on their own line and, after a few thwarted attacks, flanker Toby Vander drove through the Pulborough defensive wall to break the deadlock with what proved to be the winning try.
Heath remained on top for the remainder of the match and although a Jamie Wharton penalty drifted wide the hosts held on for the decisive win.
Haywards Heath now top the league having leapfrogged Pulborough and lead by a single point.
Next week Heath play Horsham Lions in the semi finals of the Bob Rogers Cup at Whitemans Green.
