Adam Lallana says he has “full confidence” Albion can turn misery at Fulham into a great night in Rome.

The vastly-experienced midfielder has spoken of his belief in the squad in the aftermath of their 3-0 reverse at Craven Cottage.

Albion travel to Italy on Wednesday ahead of the following night’s Europa League first leg with AS Roma.

He said: “I’m not embarrassed about the result one bit.

“I see the lads – what they put in and how they work.

“I have full confidence we go to Rome and get a positive result.

“I have been in this situation before, I have lost games before.

“We lose 3-0 and on paper it doesn’t look great but you grow when you lose.

“We are the ones who have got us here but we keep fighting and we look to put it right on Thursday night, simple as that.”

Lallana, who started at Fulham, said self-belief cannot be affected by the defeat.

He added: “We can all do better. I am looking forward to Thursday.

“We can’t drop our heads with all we have achieved.

“Yes, we can be better but we can’t lose confidence.”
