Albion fans faced a crushing defeat away at Fulham yesterday.
Despite enjoying 70 per cent possession, Brighton were unable to score at Craven Cottage.
Fulham went in 2-0 up at half-time after a strike from player of the match Harry Wilson after 21 minutes - and Rodrigo Muniz who scored 11 minutes later.
Adama Traore came off the bench and scored a third for the hosts in injury time.
Roberto De Zerbi said he had warned of challenges ahead as injuries and fatigue caught up with his side at Fulham.
A hugely disappointed De Zerbi said: “We didn’t play well. We deserved to lose the game.
“Fulham played a good game, not an amazing game. They played a good enough game to win 3-0 and they deserved to win."
Fulham stay 12th in the table and Brighton drop to ninth.
