It was a night to forget for Brighton fans as Albion went crashing out of the FA Cup against Wolves.
The hosts took the lead early on after Mario Lemina prodded home a loose ball after Jason Steele dropped a cross.
Despite this, Albion kept pushing and played some neat football throughout the match but were unable to threaten Jose Sa in goal.
Valentin Barco made his debut as a late substitute as Brighton continued to push for the equaliser.
The 19-year-old signed from Boca Juniors in January for a fee of $10 million.
Jason Steele could have been the hero of the match when he found himself in space after going up for a corner in the last seconds of the game.
The ball was headed down but Albion’s keeper shot wide. The game finished 1-0 to Wolves.
Wolves host Coventry City on March 16.
