Yasin Ayari capped his best performance yet for Blackburn with a penalty which was a social media hit.
But he could not help Rovers dump Newcastle out of the FA Cup.
The Premier League outfit scraped through in a shoot-out after sharing a 1-1 draw at Ewood Park.
Ayari stepped up for his team's fourth spot kick with them trailing 3-2.
He took a little skip on his approach to the ball, similar to that often employed by Italy star Jorginho.
Then he calmly rolled the ball one way as Peter Dubravka dived the other.
Ayari went on as sub on the hour, replacing fellow Albion loanee Andrew Moran.
