Roberto De Zerbi has played down injury fears over Evan Ferguson.
But he said Albion can get more from the striker.
Ferguson needed treatment after the incident in which Everton went ahead in a 1-1 draw and then left the action.
De Zerbi said: “I think he is good. I think he is not having the best period of his time but we can help him and we can understand him because he is very young.
“I think he can play better.
“I think the team needs Evan but the true Evan, Evan at his 100% of his physical condition and mental condition, confidence.
“I think he played well but, in such small spaces in the last 20 minutes, ten minutes, I thought Adam Lallana could be more important than Evan.”
Ferguson had a go from outside the box in the second half, shooting straight at Jordan Pickford.
He showed bis ability in build-up play with his work ahead of a chance which Simon Adingra fired over.
But, again, he did not have a clear goalscoring chance
