Gary Lineker had sympathy for Billy Gilmour after he was sent off for the first time.
But his Match Of The Day guest Micah Richards said: “I think it’s a red card.”
Gilmour was dismissed for catching Amadou Onana late as Albion drew 1-1 with Everton.
Lineker told BBC viewers: “He has just kicked the ball and followed through a fraction.
“I know they give those nowadays but I don’t like this law.
“He has just kicked the ball.”
Richards was less sympathetic and said: “He takes a bad touch.
“I think it’s a red card because of the height of it. He could break his leg.”
