Albion will hope for a better start to their sixth half-century of Premier League games than how they ended their fifth.

Their 4-0 defeat by Luton was their 250th game in the Prem since winning promotion in 2017.

Their tally comprises 74 wins, 81 draws and 95 defeats.

They have been stuck on exactly 300 goals for the last five hours of playing time, since Joao Pedro converted his second penalty of the 4-2 defeat of Tottenham.

They have conceded 348 in their 250 games.

Lewis Dunk has appeared in 226 of their 250 Prem outings.

He is followed in the rankings by Pascal Gross on 212 and Solly March with 182.

Matty Ryan comes in fourth on 121 Prem games but Adam Webster is only four games behind him.

A sign of progress, Albion have had more wins than defeats in each of their last three campaigns, including the current one.

That compares to nine wins in each of their first four seasons against 16, 20, 15 and 15 defeats.

They are on 38 goals for this season, which is already more than in either of their first two Prem campaigns.

But they are currently not on pace to match last term’s bumper haul of 72.
