The 22-year-old Spanish left winger, currently with Tottenham, would be an immediate solution to their lack of attacking width.
Albion have five wingers out injured or on international duty.
In addition, Joao Pedro, who has operated out wide on the left in recent games, went off injured at Luton on Tuesday.
There is no indication as yet as to the seriousness of the injury to the Brazilian.
