Mahmoud Dahoud could be on his way back to Germany.

The former Borussia Dortmund midfielder is wanted on loan by Stuttgart.

He has struggled to make an impact with Albion and has been out of favour since receiving a red card in the draw at home to Sheffield United.

Dahoud was again absent from the matchday squad in the 4-0 defeat by Luton.

He could now make a return to the Bundesliga for the rest of the season although it is understood there is still work to do for that to happen.

The German transfer window closes on Thursday at 5pm our time

Albion were reported to be keen on Leicester midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

They are currently expected to be quiet on the final day of trading - although further business has not been completely ruled out.
