Albion cruised through in the FA Cup, led by a Joao Pedro hat-trick.

These long-time travelling fans gave their thoughts on the 5-2 win at Bramall Lane – and how good the Brazilian forward can be.

1. What were your thoughts on Albion’s performance at Sheffield United?

Tim Ayling: Apart from a dodgy ten-minute spell I thought we were excellent. When we play like that, most teams would struggle against us. A Sheffield United friend of mine was blown away about the quality of football we played.

James Heasman: Offensively, we played very well, great movement and passing. To score five goals away from home is a great achievement at any time. Defensively, however, we were a little disappointing, with none of the central defenders covering themselves in glory on the goals. You simply cannot step up hoping to play offside, and the second was just slack. A word for the referee who did very well, getting the big decisions correct.

Alan Brownings: Another solid performance, there was a time when we’d have gone on and lost this one, but nowadays we’re a much stronger team and we’re worthy winners by the end.

Colin Beales: I thought we looked really decent going forwards but fell foul of some really bad defending to let Sheffield back into the game. That said, I never really felt that we wouldn't go onto win this on, such was our dominance and, when the third went in, we just seemed to kick on.

2. Who stood out for you from the Albion team?

Tim Ayling: Obviously, Joao Pedro will get the plaudits, but Billy Gilmour ran the game and was everywhere. Surely a candidate for player of the season already. Otherwise, Gross and Igor excelled, and a word for Ferguson who deserved a goal and was very unselfish with his runs.

James Heasman: I thought Buonanotte played very well, as did Pascal Gross. My man of the match though, was Joao Pedro, arguably our best ever penalty taker and a great goal in open play.

Alan Brownings: Obviously Joao Pedro with the hat-trick gets the nod on this occasion.

Colin Beales: Buonanotte had another decent game, but João Pedro was man of the match. Threatening throughout and always a safe bet from the spot.

3. How impressed are you by Joao Pedro – and is there much more yet to come?

Tim Ayling: How can you not be impressed? For me, he has stepped up a level when he came on as sub away to Forest and won us the game. Since then, he's been different class and does things most players can only dream about.

James Heasman: I think so, his hold-up play and flicks aren't always the best, so that is one area, but overall he is performing at a very high level and hopefully he'll stay with us for at least one more season. Another great signing.

Alan Brownings: Joao is coming on just nicely and that’s now 18 in all competitions. He will need to demonstrate though he can do this week in and out in the Premier League to be considered the finished article.

Colin Beales: It's certainly been a solid start to his Albion career. Looks composed on the ball and is a great threat on goal. There's nobody else you'd rather see on penalties these days. I hope in the future we'll see a few more from open play but ultimately he's an exciting talent to watch.
