Tariq Lamptey is only looking to the future – be it at full-back or further forward.
The full-back returned in a more advanced position after his injury lay-off.
He was sent on for the later stages of the 0-0 draw with Wolves having only played for half an hour since his crucial role in the draw at Marseille on October 5.
Lamptey said: “It was good. I am happy to be back on the pitch.
“I thank God. I worked hard to be back and I am just going to have to keep going.
“Obviously we couldn’t get the result we wanted but we take the point and move on.”
Lamptey made his name under Graham Potter as a raiding wing-back with open spaces in front of him but was asked to help break down a massed Wolves defence on Monday.
He said: “I think in every game you have to be adaptable regardless of who you are playing.
“They are a good team as well so you have to make sure you are on top of it.
“We pushed and pushed and it was unfortunate we couldn’t get the win.”
Lamptey is keen to put the injury behind him and said: “I am just looking forward to having a good run and getting back and helping the boys whenever I can.”
