Roberto De Zerbi is looking forward to seeing some of his wingers back in action.

The Albion head coach greeted initial information of Simon Adingra’s return as big and important news.

He is also pleased to hear Koaru Mitoma is working with the Japan squad at the Asian Cup.

Adingra played the final few minutes as Ivory Coast lost 4-0 to Equatorial Guinea at AFCON on Monday.

They were left awaiting other result s before knowing whether they would make the knockout stage although Ghana’s 2-2 draw with Mozambique worked in their favour.

De Zerbi saw his side draw 0-0 with Wolves and said: “I don’t like speaking about the players’ injuries or the players who didn’t play during the game but we played without Mitoma, Adingra, Ansu Fati, Solly March – not bad, eh?

“I know Adingra played part of the (Ivory Coast) game, and it is a big and important news for us.

“I know (Mitoma) started to work with the national team on the pitch and we are waiting for both players.

“We are waiting for Enciso and Ansu as well – and Igor, Joel Veltman.”

De Zerbi was pleased with his side’s performance in their first game after a 16-day break in fixtures which included a training camp in Dubai.

He said: “If we analyse the result, I have to say it wasn’t a good break. If we analyse the quality of the play, I think it was good, the break.”
