Albion new boy Adrian Mazilu will spend the rest of the season on loan in Holland.

The 18-year-old is heading to Vitesse Arnhem, where he will team up with fellow Seagulls prospect Kacper Kozlowski.

The Vitesse squad also includes the experienced former Albion midfielder Davy Propper.

Vitesse are currently bottom of the Eredivisie with 12 points from 18 games.

Mazilu has formally completed his transfer to Albion, which had already been agreed in advance, and spent the first half of the season at Farul Constanta in his native Romania.

Albion technical director David Weir said: “We have been monitoring Adrian and he has done well in Romania.

“He now has a new challenge with Vitesse in a new league and environment, and we will continue to track his progress closely.”

Vitesse are looking for a wing option after being hit by injury.

Technical director Benjamin Schmedes said: “The wing position was an absolute point of attention, especially with Miliano Jonathans' long-term injury in mind.

"Adrian is a talent and has already gained the necessary experience, despite his young age.

"We are very happy that he will be joining Vitesse for the second half of the season and we wish him a warm welcome.”

Vitesse are away to Zwolle on Friday.
