Subzero temperatures have frozen a race track over forcing races to be cancelled.
There is no racing in the country today after scheduled fixtures at Plumpton were abandoned due to frozen ground
Race bosses at the mid Sussex course say there is "no prospect of improvement" after temperatures as low as minus 6C were measured overnight, causing the track to frost over.
Frost sheets deployed across the course were not enough to save the seven races on today's card.
An inspection at Plumpton was scheduled for 8.30am, but the decision was made at around 6am to abandon the race.
Events at Chepstow and Newcastle have also been scrapped due to the freezing weather.

A spokesman for Plumpton Races said: "It was a shock that it got that low, a massive shame.
"We are very sorry for any inconvenience and all tickets will be refunded according to our terms and conditions."
General admission tickets can be transferred to another day in 2024.
Officials at Newbury, in Berkshire, will stage an inspection at 3pm to assess the chances of racing on Wednesday.
