Albion’s plan to send new signing Adrian Mazilu out on loan has been backed by his former boss.
The exciting Romanian prospect is set to build experience away from the Amex after completing his move from Farul Constanta.
He would be following in the path of players such as Jan Paul van Hecke, Simon Adingra, Kaoru Mitoma and Alexis Mac Allister.
The 18-year-old has been playing regularly for Farul in the Superliga.
Farul club president Gheorghe Popescu is intrigued to see how he fares.
Popescu said: “He’s a forward, he’s 18 years old, and he needs this intermediate stage and I think it’s very good that he is loaned to a middle-level championship.
“He is a player with intermediate qualities and I am convinced that he will do very well.
“He will certainly prepare for the next step, which will be the Premier League.”
Albion head coach Roberto De Zerbi recently confirmed Mazilu would be going on loan.
Farul confirmed his departure from their ranks after the recent 0-0 draw with Rapid Bucharest and said: "Thank you, Adi, and good luck in your career."
