Roberto De Zerbi has tipped two more of his Albion stars for great things.

He believes Jan Paul van Hecke and Billy Gilmour are on course to be “top level” performers.

The Seagulls are in Dubai gearing up for their assault on Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup over the coming months.

Fifteen-goal Joao Pedro and fit-again Pervis Estupinan are among their headline-grabbing performers.

But De Zerbi has picked out two more who are really impressing him.

The head coach said: “I think we have a lot of potential great players, not only Estupinan and Joao Pedro.

“But Evan Ferguson, Facundo Buonanotte, Jack Hinshelwood.

“Jan Paul van Hecke and Billy Gilmour are becoming great, great players – but top level, both.”

In The Argus today, we look at five Albion players who have made great strides this season so far – and four who have ground to make up.

Albion look set to retain all their top men during this month’s transfer window.

They were happy to sell Leandro Trossard last January and there was a month-long saga over the future of Moises Caicedo.

Such attention has been notable by its absence this time, although Evan Ferguson has been speculatively linked with potential summer interest from Chelsea.
