Last season's FA Cup final referee will take charge of Albion in their third-round tie at Stoke City.
It will be Paul Tierney's first Albion game since the 3-1 win over Southampton towards the end of last season which all but secured European football.
That was Tierney’s penultimate game of the campaign, the last being the Wembley showpiece in which Manchester City beat Manchester United.
He has predominantly refereed in the Premier League this season but his one Championship fixture was a happy one for Stoke as they won 1-0 at home to Leeds.
In total this season, he has reffed 14 matches, showing 53 yellows and three reds.
VAR will not be in operation for the tie.
