Albion fans remained in high spirits despite the Seagulls ending their clash with West Ham in a goalless draw.

Supporters flocked to the London Stadium for Albion’s first match of 2024 but, despite looking the more likely winners, the Seagulls were unable to secure victory.

However, the team, missing suspended captain Lewis Dunk and several injured players, managed to keep their first Premier League clean sheet of the season.

Fans sported Albion scarves and woolly hats for the winter fixture as the country was battered with strong winds from Storm Henk.

Speaking after the match, Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi said that the Seagulls deserved to win against West Ham but he was pleased with their performance.

He said: “We deserved to win, but we played an amazing game, one of the best in my time, because West Ham are very good at counter-attacking and we played a smart game with a clear idea in our head.”

The 0-0 draw puts Brighton seventh in the Premier League, behind West Ham and above Manchester United.

Albion’s next match is against Stoke City in the FA Cup on Saturday, January 6.
