Roberto De Zerbi is ready to discuss Jeremy Sarmiento’s immediate future.
But his current expectation is that the Ecuador international will go straight back out on loan to Ipswich.
He has been recalled from his loan at West Brom at a time when the Seagulls are short of wingers.
But to play for Albion now would mean he could not then move on this month and play for a third team in the same season.
Speaking this afternoon, Seagulls boss De Zerbi said: “We have not spoken yet about Sarmiento but I think he goes on loan to play in another team.
“Maybe he needs to play. He decided to go on loan to play at the beginning of the season.
“I don’t know if he has changed idea or his plan.
“He is a good player, he can be important for us, especially in this moment with many injuries but we have to speak with the sports director.”
Greek outfit Aris Thessaloniki are keen on taking Sarmiento on a permanent deal.
